I’m the mother of a child with food allergies. I’m obsessed with delicious allergy friendly food that everyone can enjoy. Food that nourishes our bodies.
Our family has been living and eating with food allergies since 2010 when our daughter was diagnosed with food allergies to peanuts, egg, dairy, wheat, soy, and sesame. Maybe it was blessing in disguise, as our journey with food allergies has actually helped (uh…forced) us to lead healthier lifestyles. But, it was often a lonely and difficult journey with limited resources, foods, and places to turn for help and support. Through trial and tribulations, we have found solutions to our unique challenges, and I hope that these recipes and tips will help those of you (and family and friends) with food allergies – you are not alone!
I love to prepare food that everyone can enjoy. After all, not everyone in our family nor do most of our friends have food allergies, but enjoying food together is where I find joy.
